Job Purpose :
Key responsibilities
To provide an effective and efficient payroll service for the Trust. Ensure compliance with financial processes and operational controls within the Trust. We are looking for a payroll administrator to join our newly formed payroll team who will work with the finance team leader to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of the Trust payroll on a monthly basis.- To support the team leader in processing the monthly payroll.
- To process monthly timesheets for the Trust.
- To check that all monthly deductions related to salary sacrifice have been processed correctly.
- To check all changes to the payroll change log have been administered correctly by our payroll admin company. This will include starters, leavers, sick pay, maternity pay, holiday pay, salary changes (including backpay).
- To liaise with external agencies such as Department for Work and Pensions and local authorities in relation to deduction of earnings and attachment of earnings.
- To support the team leader in producing monthly sick pay calculations.
- To support the team leader in the annual P11d process.
- To monitor payroll mailbox and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- To ensure all payroll information is kept confidential at all times.
- Deal with a range of external and internal contacts.
- Support the Trust during internal and external audits.
- Scanning, filing and maintenance of financial records.
