Accountant Assistant Manager

Job Overview

ACCA/ACCA late stages of qualification or already qualified senior accountant required to progress to assistant manager and, in the medium term, senior manager within a well‑established chartered accounting firm in Leicester. Salary £32K‑£38K DOE in a well‑defined development structure.

• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies.
• Compile monthly accounts and manage statutory and management accounting preparation.
• Handle bookkeeping, VAT returns and related business tax computations.
• Support corporate and personal tax issues, including interactions with HMRC.
• Provide support to clients and colleagues, forwarding practice development.

• ACA/ACCA qualification or late stages of qualification.
• 3‑5 years practice experience with preparation of accounts and related business tax computations.
• Experience with Xero, Quickbooks or Sage software.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills for clients and colleagues.

• Salary £32K‑£38K plus benefits.
