The Distributor Driver operates a distributor truck with a capacity of 3,000 gallons to transport emulsion to and from specified destinations, applying asphalt/tack on highway/roadways/parking lots/driveways. During the off‑season the Driver also drives a truck and pup, transfers, or belts trailers. This skilled position involves the safe and efficient operation of equipment and trucks, performed under the supervisor’s instruction.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)- Operate asphalt distributor truck.
- Drive a truck and pup, transfer, or belt trailer during the off‑season.
- Set spray bar on manual, automatic, or semi‑automatic distributors for applying liquid asphalt.
- Apply liquid from distributor to designated area with attention to detail and emphasis on craftsmanship.
- Connect and disconnect pup trailer.
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the proper tools and equipment for the task.
- Properly follow all company policies, FMCSA regulations, and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- Attend according to company attendance policy to ensure crew can operate at normal efficiency levels.
- Maintain a courteous and professional manner with co‑workers, customers, and the public.
- Have the physical ability to operate the distributor and perform manual labor as needed.
- May oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
- Willing to perform or assist with other positions for job completion as needed.
- Adapt to last‑minute schedule changes, location changes, shift time changes; overtime work required.
- Adhere to PPE (personal protective equipment) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition as supplied by the company.
- Be able to adapt and work in extreme weather temperatures.
- Will be exposed to extremes of heat or cold weather.

Education/Experience- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; two years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess a valid state commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A with Tanker Endorsement.
- Must possess a valid Medical Card as per DOT standard.
- One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Incident‑free driving record preferred.
- May be subject to drug and alcohol, medical exams, and physical agility testing.
- Ability to communicate using two‑way radio.
- Basic math.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
