Senior Software Engineer – Frontend (Web)

Safe Streets is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer (Web) to lead the development of modern, high‑quality web applications using Type Script and Svelte/React. This role is for engineers who care deeply about frontend architecture, performance, and long‑term maintainability. You will have meaningful ownership over frontend systems and help set technical standards for the team.

Base pay range: $/yr – $/yr

• Architect, build, and maintain complex web applications using Svelte/React and Type Script
• Own frontend technical decisions and contribute to long‑term architecture
• Collaborate closely with backend and mobile engineers on APIs and data flow
• Drive best practices around performance, accessibility, and code quality
• Lead code reviews and mentor mid/junior engineers
• Work directly with product managers and business stakeholders
• Improve frontend tooling, workflows, and developer experience

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Type Script and modern web development
• Production experience with modern frontend frameworks (Svelte preferred)
• Experience consuming and shaping backend APIs
• Solid understanding of software design principles and data structures
• Experience working in agile development environments
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Experience with native iOS or Android development
• Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines and app store releases
• Familiarity with AWS‑backed mobile architectures
• Experience leading mobile technical direction or mentoring others
• Strong attention to UX, reliability, and long‑term maintainability
