Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines, machinery, and tractor-trailers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the field and be familiar with Caterpillar equipment and schematics. The Diesel Mechanic will be expected to fabricate and install parts, perform equipment repair, and ensure all work is done in accordance with safety regulations.

• Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, farm machinery, and tractor-trailers, including oil changes, tune-ups, and brake repairs.
• Diagnose and repair air brake systems.
• Fabricate and install parts as needed.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance tasks on all vehicles and equipment.
• Work with customers to identify their needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Utilize schematics and technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair complex issues.
• Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime.
• Stay up-to-date with manufacturer updates and industry advancements.

• Experience with diesel engines and farm machinery.
• Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment and schematics.
• Strong mechanical skills with the ability to fabricate and install parts.
• Ability to diagnose and repair air brake systems.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficiency with equipment repair and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with tractor-trailers and their maintenance requirements.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
