OUTDOOR POOL CASHIER/CONCESSIONS

PAY RANGE: $10.96 - $13.15, depending on experience

SCHEDULE:

Part Time - Seasonal

DEPARTMENT:
Recreation

• The job entails both cashier and concessions and requires a food handler's Permit.
• Cashier at outdoor swimming pool:
  • Will receive and disburse money.
  • Needs to know how to use electronic scanners, cash registers and related equipment.
  • Process credit or debit card transactions and validate checks.
  • Responsible for receiving money for admissions and concessions.
  • Balance till consistently and accurately.
• Concession work includes but not limited to:
  • Selling concessions.
  • Handling transactions.
  • Stocking supplies.
  • Operate some heating appliances.
  • Keep the concession area clean enough to always pass the health department inspections.

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Have a flexible working schedule, approximately 20 to 25 hours per week, some evenings and Saturdays.
• Have knowledge of computers and prior related work experience is desirable.
• Having good public relations skills are a must.
• Have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Have good general health.
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have the ability to follow directions and work well with other employees.
• Is required to have a current food handler's permit.

Employment in this position is conditional upon passing a pre-employment background and drug test.
