Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic Royalty Revenue Accounting Specialist to join our team, who will be instrumental in managing all aspects of the royalty revenue process, ensuring accurate and timely accounting practices in alignment with US GAAP. The ideal candidate will support, review, and manage royalty revenue contracts and policies, along with facilitating the month‑end and quarter‑end close process. This role requires a proactive approach in fostering relationships with key departments and managing interactions with external auditors, aiming for operational excellence and efficiency in revenue accounting.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee royalty revenue policies, contract reviews, and manage the bill of materials alongside month‑end and quarter‑end processes.
- Establish leadership in functions supporting the royalty revenue process to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
- Drive activities aiming for the company’s operational and technical competence in revenue accounting.
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors concerning royalty revenue and related contracts.
- Identify and implement improvements in the royalty revenue process for enhanced scalability and efficiency.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
- Strong organization and revenue accounting skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- BS Degree in Finance/Accounting with 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a publicly held software company.
- Experience in SAP and Salesforce is preferred, but not mandatory as training will be provided.
This position is based in Lehi, UT, and follows a hybrid work model. Flexibility in working hours is available, with the expectation to be onsite as required.
