Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for managing all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounts through regular account reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial presentations
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Review and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
- Assist with tax compliance activities and coordinate with external tax advisors
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Serve as a technical resource for accounting questions and issues
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience (or 8+ years w/o degree)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling)
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience in a start-up or high growth company
