Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Grounds Patrol in Leesburg, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a high-tech data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and respond to requests with strong customer service.

- Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities in a data center location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries; assist with sign-in processes and communicate site rules and directions as needed.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from appropriate contacts and/or public services when required.
- Complete accurate security-related reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation; communicate relevant observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
