Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Patrol in Leesburg, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, professional service, and timely reporting of concerns.

- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including assisting with de‑escalation, reporting hazards, and/or coordinating with clinical staff and local first responders as directed.
- Control access at designated doors and checkpoints by verifying identification when required, monitoring visitor flow, and/or documenting entries according to site policy.
- Complete detailed reports and maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and key events, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
