Overview

Food & Beverage Expert at Target (T1874) working in the Starbuck, Deli, Bakery area. Starting hourly rate: $17.25 USD per hour. The role supports a consistent guest experience by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, priced, signed, and available on the sales floor. The team is responsible for replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing across Food & Beverage areas of the store.

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience with a fresh and full shopping environment during all hours of operations, prioritizing guest needs.
• Uphold and maintain execution of Food & Beverage Standards.
• Execute Food & Beverage processes including food deliveries, replenishment, merchandise replenishment, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and storing reserve product.
• Follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target policies and procedures.
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
• Work with vendors to set and adjust salesfloor displays and maintain backroom organization.
• Identify and process damaged, recalled, or expired items according to Target policies.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve guest problems and improve their experience.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws as they apply to the role (including adult beverage laws where applicable).
• Use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment; follow equipment control guidelines.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and drive-up while maintaining compliance with laws.
• Greet guests and assist them with their needs; thank guests for shopping with Target.
• Other duties as assigned based on business needs.

• Open to a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (Bakery Only) and/or have prior food or grocery experience preferred but not required.
• Welcoming attitude toward guests and teammates; ability to communicate using handheld devices and technology as directed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; resolve guest questions quickly; attention to detail; follow multi-step processes.
• Capable of remaining focused in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks within time frames.

• Ability to handle cash register operations as needed; climb ladders; lift/carry up to 44 pounds; and work in temperatures ranging from 34°F to
  -10°F as needed.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance required.
• Work in spaces where common allergens may be present and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements may occur.
