Job Description

We are seeking a full-time RN Unit Supervisor for our Surgical Trauma ICU (STICU) at Inova Loudoun Hospital. The ideal individual will be an experienced ICU RN with prior charge or supervisor experience.

Night shift position 7:00pm - 7:00am - 3 x 12-hour shifts/week.
Sign-on Bonus (for new Team Members) as well as a Relocation Bonus (if relocating to the area)

Our Surgical Trauma ICU unit is a 12-bed unit on the second floor with close proximity to the OR. We care for critically ill surgical and trauma patients, including neurosurgery, vascular surgery, general surgery patients, along with post-procedural patients. We also care for Intermediate Care level surgical and trauma patients as well.

The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor is a front-line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit. The RN Unit Supervisor is not usually given a patient assignment and serves as a resource for the team.

• Embraces, uses, and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools.
• Supports unit based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures and processes.
• Acts as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making patient experience a priority on units of responsibility.
• Provides genuine acts of care, appreciation, recognition, coaching, mentoring and encouragement to all members of the healthcare team, to further enculturate Inova's care delivery model and results for all of Inova's strategic priorities.

Minimum qualifications:

• Experience:
Minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.
• Education: BSN or Associate Degree RNs that are within one year of obtaining their BSN.
• Certifications: BLS required. ACLS within 90 days.
• Licensure:
Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.

• Completion of a revised Charge Nurse Workshop within the first 90 days.

Preferred qualifications:

• 2+ years of ICU RN experience.

• Charge RN or RN Supervisor experience (please include this on resume).
