Inova Loudoun Hospital Retail Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacy Technician 1 to join the team. This role will be part-time Monday - Friday, days/evenings rotating shifts. Every other weekend (potentially every weekend) and holidays.

Job Responsibilities
- Assists the Pharmacist in reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling and dispensing medications and supplies.
- Cleans equipment and maintains all required temperature logs according to system policies and procedures.
- Checks medication and administration supply inventory for out-of-date products, removes products from inventory and works with the appropriate resource to record out of date products in the Expiring Medication log book.
- Performs computer entry of prescription information including, but not limited to, patient/prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation/entry, insurance billing and basic problem resolution.
- Prepares medications for clients through mixing medications, counting pills, and labeling bottles.
- Education: High School or GED.
- Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
- Experience: One (1) year Retail Pharmacy Technician experience.
