Key Responsibilities- Financial Statement Preparation:
Direct the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. - Compliance:
Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. - Coordinate with Stakeholders:
Act as liaison with internal and external auditors, providing them with the necessary information and support. - Management Reporting:
Prepare and deliver customized financial reports, analysis, and commentary to senior management and the audit committee. - Team Leadership:
Supervise, train and mentor financial reporting staff, fostering professional growth and efficient team performance.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Credentials:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. - Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience in finance and accounting, with significant experience in public accounting and SEC reporting for a public company. - Technical Knowledge:
Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX. - Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
Proficiency in MS OWice, familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
