We are looking for an energetic, nurturing teaching assistant to join The Goddard School in Leesburg, VA. The role focuses on creating a safe, dynamic, and engaging learning environment for children while supporting their teachers and parents.

• Feel a sense of accomplishment as you plan and lead activities that bring laughter and wonder to children
• Observe children’s interests and work with other teachers to develop engaging curriculum ideas
• Communicate with parents daily through mobile apps, personal discussions, and newsletters
• Engage with colleagues to continuously grow professionally

• Plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for children in a safe environment
• Assist teachers with classroom management and support daily classroom operations
• Develop relationships with children, parents, and faculty members
• Calmly address stressful situations while maintaining a smooth classroom routine
• Lift up to 50 lbs. when handling children and facilitating programs (and infants into/out of a crib when necessary)
• Ensure compliance with state‑required pre‑service training and background check eligibility

• Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in early childhood education preferred
• Strong communication skills children, parents, and staff
• Ability to multitask and maintain smooth classroom operations
• Valid background check eligibility
