Position Overview

Works is seeking an organized, proactive and dedicated Administrative & Business Operations Associate to support our local Leesburg office. In this role, you will provide administrative, operational, and business support across Finance, HR, Project Management, and occasional Business Development (BD) initiatives. You will play a critical role in ensuring that internal processes run smoothly, filings and compliance tasks are completed accurately, and the team is supported in day-to-day operations.

This role requires someone who is responsive, available during business hours, and ready to handle time-sensitive requests promptly.

Key Responsibilities Administrative & Operations Support
  • Manage office operations, filings, and documentation to support Finance, HR, and Project teams
  • Maintain internal records, trackers, and SharePoint sites with accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, and minute-taking for team and client meetings
  • Prepare, format, and review reports, presentations, and other documentation in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Share Point
  • Manage and maintain task tracking platforms (e.g., ) to ensure deadlines, deliverables, and workflows are on track
  • Respond promptly to requests throughout the business day; this role requires consistent availability and responsiveness during work hours
Finance & HR Support
  • Assist Finance with invoicing, expense tracking, and basic reporting
  • Support HR tasks such as onboarding, offboarding, timekeeping, and benefits documentation
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and federal regulations in finance and HR processes
Project & Program Support
  • Support project teams with administrative and operational tasks, including tracking deliverables, deadlines, and status updates
  • Collect and organize data for project performance, staffing, and reporting purposes
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and operational efficiency
Business Development & External Engagement
  • Occasionally represent Cloud7

    Works at local conferences, networking events, or client engagement activities
  • Assist with preparation of BD materials, capability statements, and event coordination
  • Support capture or proposal efforts as requested by BD leadership
  • Conduct timely follow-ups with agencies on submitted proposals via email and phone; track and document all responses
  • Manage company Linked In page and website updates to maintain an active online presence
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Management, or related field preferred
  • 2–4 years of experience in administrative, operations, or project coordination roles
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured processes accurately
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Share Point
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor appropriate for interfacing with internal teams, clients, and event stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Resourceful, self-starter mentality with willingness to take initiative and ownership of tasks
  • Interest in developing project management or business operations skills
  • Familiarity with automation or reporting tools
  • Interest in learning and leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to improve productivity
  • Comfortable with occasional local travel for conferences or team events (
