Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Leesburg, Virginia. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing client invoicing, auditing financial transactions, and ensuring accurate reporting. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a solid background in accounting and expertise in tools like Quick Books and Sage.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and send invoices to clients while ensuring accuracy in pricing and adjustments.

- Generate monthly accounts receivable statements and maintain up-to-date records.

- Conduct audits to verify the accuracy of captured and paid invoices.

- Handle various accounting tasks to support the team and ensure compliance with financial standards.

- Manage contract pricing adjustments within the accounting systems.

- Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies in financial records.

- Create and analyze financial reports to assist with decision-making.

- Utilize software like Quick Books, Sage, and proprietary systems effectively.

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related fields.

- Proficiency in accounts receivable and billing functions.

- Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial auditing.

- Familiarity with Quick Books, Sage, and other accounting software.

- Ability to adjust contract pricing and generate financial reports.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Strong communication skills to work effectively with clients and teams.

- Ability to work on-site during designated office hours in Leesburg, Virginia.
