Responsibilities- Support the month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Review journal entries, account analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor general ledger activity and investigate variances.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Prepare and submit the annual Incurred Cost Submission in compliance with DCAA requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of indirect cost pools and rate calculations.
- Manage and track the company's fixed assets, ensuring accurate depreciation schedules.
- Coordinate and prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external audits.
- Support compliance with all local, state, and federal tax filing requirements and regulations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Ensure adherence to and assist in strengthening established accounting policies and internal control procedures to mitigate financial risk.
- Support documentation of processes and preparation of control narratives.
- Collaborate with the Controller on special accounting initiatives and system enhancements.
- Assist with implementation of new accounting standards or regulatory requirements.
- Perform ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Government contracting experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems;
Deltek Costpoint experience preferred.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must have strong problem‑solving skills, strong ability to multi‑task, prioritize and be well organized.
