Manager In Training- Part Time

Manager In Training – Retail – Non‑Exempt – reports to Store Manager. Work in Leesburg, FL. Hourly: $15.00 – $15.00.

The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with overall operations and administrative duties, is knowledgeable in each product area, and helps achieve the store's goals. Promotes each sale or promotion, serves as an ambassador of Hibbett, and provides outstanding customer service.

• Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett.
• Consult with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to establish action plans to accomplish departmental and overall store responsibilities such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Be aware of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure each department's responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Keep the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties as needed and be trained in the Store Manager's responsibilities.
• Produce and give extraordinary customer service highlighted in the customer service manual, including helping customers as they enter the store and helping multiple customers during peak periods.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett.
• Practice and uphold all Hibbett City Gear policies, procedures, and standards as listed in all policy manuals and memos with the company's direction.
• Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management/appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.

• Supervise employees in the absence of the Store Manager, carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, interview and train employees, plan, assign, and direct work, and resolve problems.

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1‑3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self‑starter, with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Team‑player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
