We are now hiring a Registered Nurse, OR
. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a commitment to support the clinic’s goals of providing each patient with a positive experience while receiving quality comprehensive eye care from the providers.
- Follows and completes assignments as given by the Clinical Director and Providers
- Collaborates with appropriate disciplines in developing coordinated outcomes and interventions
- Circulates surgical procedures for various surgeons that operate at the facility
- Supports and maintains a safe patient care environment
- Ensures that the Operating Rooms are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner
- Prepares surgery suite for surgical procedures
- Follows established universal precautions in the use of PPE
- Individualizes patient care according to patient’s health status and surgery/procedure being performed
- Operates equipment and performs technical skills according to policies and standards
- Recognizes situations and significant assessment findings that require communication and follow through to the appropriate people
- Monitors surgery inventory and notifies appropriate individuals when supplies are needed
- Participates in identifying and developing the performance improvement focus and criteria
- Supports the mission, vision, and core values of the organization
- Observes facility policies, procedures, and processes
- Conducts all aspects of job in an ethical manner in support of the organization’s commitment to ethical behavior
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Current surgical experience (within past 3 years)
- Ability to make sound nursing judgment based on nursing theory
- Demonstrates primary nurse accountability through coordination, communication, and continuity of patient care
- Must be able to assess, prioritize, plan, and implement direct patient care
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development
- Working knowledge and experience in hospital or ambulatory surgery center settings including direct patient care
- Ability to adhere to work schedule and manage time effectively
- Ability to utilize resources in a timely, organized, and cost-effective manner
- Knowledge of patient monitoring equipment
