We are now hiring a Registered Nurse, OR
. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a commitment to support the clinic’s goals of providing each patient with a positive experience while receiving quality comprehensive eye care from the providers.

• Follows and completes assignments as given by the Clinical Director and Providers
• Collaborates with appropriate disciplines in developing coordinated outcomes and interventions
• Circulates surgical procedures for various surgeons that operate at the facility
• Supports and maintains a safe patient care environment
• Ensures that the Operating Rooms are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner
• Prepares surgery suite for surgical procedures
• Follows established universal precautions in the use of PPE
• Individualizes patient care according to patient’s health status and surgery/procedure being performed
• Operates equipment and performs technical skills according to policies and standards
• Recognizes situations and significant assessment findings that require communication and follow through to the appropriate people
• Monitors surgery inventory and notifies appropriate individuals when supplies are needed
• Participates in identifying and developing the performance improvement focus and criteria
• Supports the mission, vision, and core values of the organization
• Observes facility policies, procedures, and processes
• Conducts all aspects of job in an ethical manner in support of the organization’s commitment to ethical behavior
• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active RN license in the state of practice
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Current surgical experience (within past 3 years)
• Ability to make sound nursing judgment based on nursing theory
• Demonstrates primary nurse accountability through coordination, communication, and continuity of patient care
• Must be able to assess, prioritize, plan, and implement direct patient care
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development
• Working knowledge and experience in hospital or ambulatory surgery center settings including direct patient care
• Ability to adhere to work schedule and manage time effectively
• Ability to utilize resources in a timely, organized, and cost-effective manner
• Knowledge of patient monitoring equipment
