The UF Health Shands Comprehensive Stroke Center is certified by The Joint Commission and the American Stroke Association/American Heart Association, providing state‑of‑the‑art infrastructure, experienced staff, and extensive training for complex stroke care.
ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the unit director, the RN is responsible for patient care and safety. This role rotates between the ED and Stroke Unit, with a primary focus on stroke patient alerts, data collection, and documentation.
QualificationsEducation:
- Diploma/Associate's degree in nursing or higher
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Florida Registered Nurse License
- BLS
- ACLS
Special skills /
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the ED or Neuro ICU
- Stroke Certified Registered Nurses (SCRN) preferred
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
