Entry-Level Excavation Helper

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is hiring a hard-working team player to become our new Entry-Level Excavation Helper. In this full-time labor position, you provide invaluable assistance during our plumbing projects and help keep everyone safe on the job. Based in Lee's Summit, MO, our service area includes Kansas City.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Entry-Level Excavation Helper, you provide valuable assistance and support during our plumbing projects. Every day brings something different as you handle physical labor tasks like setting up job sites, preparing safety barriers, loading materials, digging trenches, and uncovering underground utilities and sewer lines. You use various hand and power tools, organize the equipment, and remove debris from the work site.

As operators use machinery, you help spot for them and keep everyone safe during the dig.

YOUR SCHEDULE

The Entry-Level Excavation Helper typically works 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday with some flexibility to meet business needs. Overtime is available!

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks
• Ability to closely follow instructions and safety protocols
• Comfort with working in trenches, confined spaces, and around heavy machinery
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Willingness to work early mornings, overtime, and occasional weekends
• Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation
