Position Overview

Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician – Walmart is expanding across local retail stores and is actively recruiting Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technicians. As a Technician at a local Walmart store you will support and oversee repair within the Walmart facilities refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets, utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and tools to complete jobs. You will provide fast‑paced support, maintain high standards and contribute to an excellent customer experience.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate or test facilities, equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by performing work according to practices and procedures outlined in the Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Refrigerant handling certification.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass an MVR.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• 2‑year HVAC/R technical program completion.
• Mechanical license in city/state where job is located.

Hourly wage range: $23.00 - $45.00. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed.
