Park Maintenance Supervisor

Overview

Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Park Maintenance Supervisor to join the dynamic team at the Parks and Construction Operation Center. This position will be working directly with the Superintendent of Park Operations.

Responsibilities include the maintenance of all Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation parks and facilities including, but not limited to, the landscaping and care of turf, trees, shrubs, and irrigation systems. This position will assist in budget preparation, bid and purchase materials, directly supervise full and part-time personnel.

Compensation: starting at $47,423.92 annually.

Minimum qualifications include bachelor’s degree with specialization in turf and athletic field maintenance, horticulture or related field. Minimum three (3) years’ direct experience in park maintenance required, valid state driver’s license required, Certified Playground Safety Inspector required; and Basic first aid, AED and CPR certification required within three (3) months of hire. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
