PositionSummary
Reporting to the Molding Maintenance Supervisor, the maintenance apprentice is an exciting new opportunity. This position is an entry level position to learn and develop into a maintenance technician within a plastic manufacturing environment. The individual will learn about maintenance on injection molding machines and other various maintenance technologies.
HoursThis is a day shift position. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Position Responsibilities- Learn and understand mechanical work.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks including cleaning and lubrication.
- Identify and learn to use mechanic tools.
- Learn Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Electrical.
- Learn to read schematics and machine drawings.
- Understand Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies.
- Understand OSHA safety requirements.
- Store and appropriately organize all maintenance parts using a systemized organization process.
- Learn to utilize a CMMS system to document work and requisition parts.
- Learn to use basic powered equipment (i.e., forklift, scissor lift, table saw, grinder, wire wheel, drill press).
- Keep updated and organized documentation for the ordering, handling, and usage of parts, equipment, and supplies.
Educational Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Minimum Experience/Field: At least six months of work experience required. Mechanical aptitude preferred.

Proven track record working with people and problem resolution and strong interpersonal, collaboration skills.
