- Lee's Summit is seeking an experienced and motivated Body Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our collision center. This role is responsible for managing staff, driving operational efficiency, ensuring high-quality repairs, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of body shop operations, and the ability to balance production, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all day-to-day body shop operations, including workflow, scheduling, and production
  • Lead, coach, and develop body shop staff (estimators, technicians, painters, and support team)
  • Ensure repairs are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with manufacturer and insurance standards
  • Review estimates, supplements, and repair plans for accuracy and profitability
  • Manage relationships with insurance partners and handle escalated claims or customer concerns
  • Monitor repair processes, cycle time, labor efficiency, CSI, and gross profit
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment in compliance with OSHA and dealership policies
  • Control costs related to labor, parts, sublet work, and materials
  • Collaborate with dealership leadership and other departments to support overall fixed operations goals
  • Ensure proper documentation, repair quality control, and final vehicle inspections
Qualifications & Experience
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in collision repair or body shop management
  • Strong knowledge of estimating systems (CCC, Mitchell, Audatex, or similar)
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Understanding of insurance processes and DRP relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
