Job Description
Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our team. You will conduct professional patient interviews, obtaining demographic, financial, and biographical information. This position is responsible for the delivery of quality performance and service excellence.
Shift DetailsSaturday, Sunday, and Monday 6:00 pm–6:30 am
Responsibilities- Understands insurance terminology
- Obtains information to appropriately bill payors
- Verifies patient insurance eligibility
- Confirms benefits eligibility
- Gather statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Completes payment transactions by using proper negotiating techniques to professionally collect money owed by our patients and guarantors
- Makes referrals to appropriate financial resources, such as payment plans and lines of credit
We are looking for someone excited about working with people and who has a positive attitude. The ideal candidate has strong computer and critical thinking skills and can multitask in a fast‑paced work environment.
