Residential Support Worker at Compass Community

Compass Community is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team in a children’s home that positively impacts children's lives. This role is ideal for those with experience in residential or youth work, or for individuals looking to build a career in residential care.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, providing support in all aspects of their lives.
  • Ensure the health and wellbeing of children, safeguarding them at all times.
  • Support the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and food shopping.
  • Create timetables, manage paperwork, and write reports.
Qualifications
  • Minimum age of 22 years to meet Ofsted regulations.
  • Valid manual driving licence.
  • Capacity to remain calm in challenging situations and to build positive relationships with others.
  • Previous residential or youth work experience is not essential; we provide extensive induction training.
Training & Development

Our Skills to Care induction includes 2 weeks of classroom-based training and 1 week of shadow shifts to prepare you for the role.
