About the role
Availability window:
Sun 18:00-23:00, Sat 10:00-22:00.
Your rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. Tesco offers a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with the option to work as few as 12 hours. Shifts are scheduled within the availability windows with a 3‑week notice period. You will learn that you are our face on the road, delivering goods from Lands End to John O'Groats while meeting customers  role involves driving, customer interaction, and supporting the team.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy and roadworthy.
• Maintain a clean and litter‑free sending area.
• Execute the tray wash process as required.
• Load the van, check roadworthiness, and manage deliveries.
• Communicate any order changes or substitutions to customers.
• Handle deliveries with care and respect.
• Deliver within the customer’s time slot.
• Call customers before arrival if early.
• Notify the store if running 30+ minutes late.

What You Need

• Communicate warmly with customers and colleagues, always thanking them.
• Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change.
• Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations while balancing home and work.
• Share improvement ideas with your Manager and colleagues.
• A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
