Overview

Our client is looking for full‑time experienced trade plate drivers on a contracted self‑employed basis. Immediate starts are available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

As a trade plate/vehicle movement driver you will collect and deliver new and used vehicles all over the UK in a timely and professional manner. In between these vehicle movements you will use public transport to reach your next vehicle collection, and you will receive full reimbursement for these expenses.

When you attend a site to collect a vehicle you will use an app on the provided tablet to accurately appraise each vehicle before departure (noting any existing damage on our customer’s app). Once completed, you will obtain sign‑off from the customer before setting off to deliver the vehicle to its final destination.

You must maintain a smart appearance, be disciplined, reliable, organised and possess excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and office support staff throughout your working day.

Strong communication skills are required to interact with a variety of customers and the office team to ensure any queries, problems or delays are reported and resolved in a timely manner.

You must be an early riser as vehicles need to be delivered to various locations in mainland UK by 9 a.m. or earlier if the schedule allows. If you aren’t comfortable with early starts, this role may not be suitable for you.

Requirements
  • Full UK licence for over 3 years with no more than 6 active penalty points and without the active penalty codes DD, DG, IN, MS or TT.
  • No driving disqualification in the past 5 years.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Official off‑road parking space large enough for a large van at your home address.
  • Tech‑savvy with knowledge of using mobile apps.
  • Early‑riser, available for starts before 6 a.m. and deadlines by 9 a.m.; may have late finishes if delays outside your control occur.
  • Good personal grooming, reliability, organisational skills and excellent interpersonal communication.
Working Hours and Conditions

This is a Monday to Friday role with often early starts before 6 a.m. and sometimes late finishes if delays occur outside your control.

Compensation and Benefits

Contracted Self‑Employed, £600–£1,000 per week. Public transport expenses are reimbursed in full.

Equipment is provided free of charge: trade plates, tablet, fuel card, uniform, high‑visibility vest and dash‑cam.

Full office support during office hours along with out‑of‑hours emergency support.

Application Information

Due to the volume of applicants, please note that if you have not been contacted within 7 days of applying, you should consider your application unsuccessful.

Please apply, including your current up‑to‑date CV.

We look forward to hearing from you.
