Removals HGV 2 Driver

We’re looking for a confident and motivated HGV 2 Driver to join our clients busy and growing international removals team in York.

This is a great opportunity for someone with removals or relocation experience.

As a Removals HGV 2 Driver
, a typical day will include taking responsibility for the company’s vehicle, ensuring the load is safely and efficiently transported from collection to delivery, and undertaking packing, loading, and unloading as required. Physical strength is vital for this role.

• Operate a commercial vehicle safely and reliably, taking responsibility for the vehicle and its load at all times.
• Perform daily vehicle and safety checks, routine maintenance (e.g., oil and water), report defects, and ensure the vehicle is clean and roadworthy.
• Ensure all loads comply with Road Traffic Legislation and vehicle operating limits.
• Carry out work in accordance with Safe Systems at Work procedures, Health & Safety regulations, and Quality System policies (ISO
  9002).
• Complete all required vehicle and delivery paperwork accurately.
• Undertake regular Driver CPC training and contribute to your own development and that of others.
• Recommend improvements to loading/unloading processes to the Operations Controller.
