Heatly recently welcomed United Infrastructure as a majority shareholder, providing financial strength and industry expertise to accelerate expansion of our SaaS platform focused on global decarbonisation of heat.
Our platform is in MVP stage and has secured enterprise proof‑of‑concept contracts with two major energy companies.
We focus on delivering net zero emissions from domestic heating through heat‑pump roll‑out.
We require talented engineers to turn our MVP into a scalable product and be first to market.
Staff Software Engineer (JS)– Key Responsibilities
- Software Development
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions, writing clean, efficient code.
- Implement new features, fix bugs, and optimise existing code.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers on design and technical feasibility.
- Integrate security best practices and conduct code reviews.
- Optimise for performance & scalability using profiling tools.
- Design and implement APIs and microservices, ensuring security and documentation.
- Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans (functional, regression, performance, security).
- Automate testing within the CI/CD pipeline.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Track and resolve defects using bug‑tracking tools.
- CI/CD & Dev Ops
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery.
- Integrate security checks (static analysis, vulnerability scanning, compliance checks) into pipelines.
- Agile Development
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and refine requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience
- Senior developer experience in a start‑up or fast‑paced environment.
- Strong agile development background.
- Experience with Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines.
- API (RESTful/Socket/OpenQL), microservice architecture.
- Cloud‑native platform patterns.
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in .NET (6) and JavaScript/Type Script.
- Experience with SQL, schema design, optimisation.
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and security practices.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Experience with data scraping, modelling and security.
- Current tech stack: .NET (6), C#, React, MySQL, Docker, Python.
- Soft Skills
- Problem‑solving and analytical thinking.
- Strong communication and collaboration.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and proactive issue resolution.
- Experience with mission‑critical or SaaS services desirable.
