Overview
The role provides short-term work using a 4-session model of supportive intervention. This will include working in a person-centred way with the young person, their primary carers and other education and support professionals within Cluster.
Responsibilities- Deliver a 4-session supportive intervention model in a person-centred way with the young person, their primary carers and other education and support professionals within Cluster.
- Aid the identification and awareness of key challenges and negative effects of potential neurodivergence.
- Co-create a personalised strengths-based support plan, including additional community support resources.
- Monitor and support progress, accounting for additional barriers that may prevent the young person from getting the most from the intervention.
- Liaise with school staff and other non-school professionals in a proactive and professional manner, and liaise with the young person’s primary carers in a compassionate, professional and inclusive way.
- With experience and skills as a trained young person’s therapeutic counsellor to provide this support within the BACP ethical framework.
