Our client is a thriving contractor in the building services industry, specializing in electrical & mechanical solutions & working with many key, blue‑chip clients.
Position OverviewThey are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join the team based on a new‑build office block project in Leeds centre – Electrical Value of £5 million – 7 floors & 2 roof levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 'cradle to grave' electrical installations on commercial or public buildings, up‑to‑date qualifications, and the ability to lead and coordinate electrical projects effectively.
ResponsibilitiesSupervision and Coordination
- Oversee electrical installation project from 'cradle to grave', ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Implement and maintain high‑quality standards throughout the electrical installation process.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets company and industry standards.
- Lead and motivate a team of electrical technicians and subcontractors.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure the team's performance meets project objectives.
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols on‑site.
- Conduct safety briefings and monitor compliance to minimize risks.
- Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports and progress documentation.
- Report project status to project managers and senior management as required.
- Possess relevant electrical qualifications and certifications including SSSTS or SMSTS, ECS & 18th edition.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical supervision within the building services sector.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of electrical regulations and industry standards.
