Shuttering Joiner

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Shuttering Carpenter / Joiner to support works on a live National Grid substation project.

This role has been created due to increased project demand and will involve working as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering civil and structural elements within a high-voltage infrastructure environment.

• Interpret technical drawings and site instructions to ensure accurate installation of shuttering and formwork.
• Construct and install shuttering systems to required specifications and tolerances.
• Inspect completed works and carry out adjustments to maintain high-quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with site managers and other trades to deliver project milestones.
• Adapt to site challenges and resolve issues efficiently as they arise.
• Follow and support temporary works procedures and site safety requirements at all times.

• Proven experience working as a Shuttering Carpenter / Joiner on infrastructure or heavy civil projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of temporary works processes.
• Experience working safely within regulated or high‑risk environments.
• Valid site tickets / qualifications relevant to the role.
• Must have full PPE available prior to site attendance.
