Domestic Electrician

We Build Recruitment are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Electrician, specialising in both domestic and commercial electrical work. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, with expertise in kitchen and bathroom upgrades, smart heating control systems, and ventilation solutions. This role requires someone who can work independently and manage various tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* 1st & 2nd Fixing of Kitchen & Bathroom Upgrades:
   Carry out all aspects of electrical work for kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, from installation to final fixing, ensuring all work meets safety regulations and client specifications.
 
* EICR Testing & Remedial Works:
   Perform Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) testing on various installations and rectify any issues found during inspections. Ensure compliance with the latest wiring regulations.
 
* Smart Heating Control Upgrades:
   Install and upgrade smart heating controls, such as smart thermostats and timers, to enhance the energy efficiency of heating systems.
 
* Installation & Maintenance of PIV Units & Extractor Fans:
   Install and maintain Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) units and extractor fans to improve air quality and ventilation in residential and commercial properties.
 
* General Electrical Repairs:
   Perform a variety of general electrical repairs, including fixing faulty wiring, sockets, switches, and addressing any emergency electrical issues that arise.
Qualifications &

Skills Required:

* 18th Edition Regulations Qualification
   Must hold a valid qualification in the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
 
* 2391 Test & Inspection Qualification
   Essential to have the 2391 Test and Inspection qualification to carry out testing and inspection of electrical installations.
 
* Experience in Electrical Installations and Maintenance
   Proven experience in domestic and commercial electrical installations, including maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
 
* Knowledge of Modern Electrical Systems
   A solid understanding of smart heating controls, ventilation systems, and energy-efficient solutions.
 
* Full UK Driving License
   A valid UK driving license is required for attending various job sites
