As a result of our continued growth and forward plans, we’re now looking to recruit a Business Development Manager/Sales Manager to join our team. Someone who will stand up and be counted, strengthen our game and deliver additional clients for the business.

The RoleThis is a new role to the business, and as such, we’re looking for someone who can own this role and make it their own - by taking a lead from our vision and strategy for the business, but empowering you to deliver the role in the way you know best to drive the results we are looking for.
As our Business Development Manager/Sales Manager, you will work to build relationships with brands that meet our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), nurturing them through our sales funnel from qualification to close, before seamlessly handing over to our operational team.
We’re big on accountability. So if you’re up for taking on a vision and making it happen, this is for you. If you prefer to be given a list of tasks to work from on a weekly basis - thanks, but you’re not for us.
Focus Areas- Qualification:
Evaluate prospects against internal qualification criteria to ensure alignment with service offerings both before targeting activity begins, and via calls and emails. - Prospect Identification:
Working alongside our Sales Development Representative to Identify and source target brands using telephone, email, Linked In, and other sales tools, alongside attending trade fairs to meet with potential clients. - Relationship Building and Nurturing:
Building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers of brands that met our ICP until our services become required and an active brief is issued. - Service selling:
Identifying opportunities to sell and upsell entry level services. - Transitioning:
Seamlessly manage the handover process with senior team when an active brief is issued, and the tender process begins.
- 2-3 year's experience in a similar sales role, preferably within a digital/marketing agency, or similar, is desired but not essential.
- Be hungry, prospecting for and nurturing new business opportunities that fill our sales funnel with great prospects that align to our customer profile.
- The ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
- A fast learner, with the ability to spot opportunities and grab them.
- Based within commutable distance of Leeds or Manchester, initially office-based 2/3 days p/week with potential for fully flexible working.
- A desire to be a part of something that is growing quickly and on track to be the UK’s number one Amazon agency.
