Overview
Sales Estimator - Fire & Security –
Location:
Leeds – Office:
Hybrid - occasional office attendance required – Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 basic
We are recruiting a Sales Estimator - Fire & Security to support continued growth across fire and security systems, including installation projects, small works/remedials, and maintenance & monitoring contracts.
Responsibilities- Develop and grow new business across fire and security services
- Design, specify, and price fire and security systems independently
- Manage and maintain a strong, accurate sales pipeline
- Forecast sales performance and track against targets
- Provide technical and commercial advice on compliant security solutions
- Generate opportunities across installations, small works, and maintenance contracts
- Prepare detailed proposals, specifications, and quotations
- Work closely with senior management and operational teams to validate opportunities
- Track conversion rates, tender performance, and lost opportunities
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Present pipeline, performance, and forecast data to senior stakeholders
- Proven experience in fire and security technical sales or estimating
- Strong technical knowledge of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder systems
- Ability to design, quote, and sell integrated security solutions
- Commercially aware with strong forecasting and reporting skills
- Confident communicator able to build long-term client relationships
- Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce or similar preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
- Confident technical sales professional with strong commercial awareness
- Comfortable owning quotes end-to-end and standing by pricing decisions
- Organised, analytical, and confident managing forecasts and pipelines
- Able to explain technical solutions clearly to non-technical clients
- Proactive, results-driven, and accountable for performance
- Professional, ethical, and customer-focused in approach
- Enjoys autonomy and responsibility rather than being micromanaged
