We are looking for an experienced, motivated Senior Customer Service & Sales Engineer to join our close-knit team in Leeds. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the phone, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and proactively supports sales growth within the industrial water and wet leisure industries.
YOUR IMPACTAs a Senior Customer Service & Sales Engineer, you will play a vital role in converting opportunities into sustainable, profitable business. Given the size of the team, your contribution will be highly visible, and you’ll have the opportunity to make a direct and meaningful impact on customer retention and customer growth.
Reporting to the Sales Office Manager, you will work closely with a small, well-established team, where collaboration, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential. Your experience and commercial awareness will directly contribute to customer retention, sales performance, and team stability.
HOW YOU’LL DRIVE SUCCESSConfidently handle inbound and outbound customer calls, building strong, long-term customer relationships
Proactively follow up on quotations and identify opportunities to convert them into orders
Prepare and process sales quotations and customer orders accurately and efficiently
Check stock availability, lead times, and delivery options, clearly communicating expectations to customers
Take a proactive sales approach, identifying upsell and cross‑sell opportunities rather than purely reacting to enquiries
Liaise closely with internal teams (sales, warehouse, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth order fulfillment
Resolve customer queries efficiently and professionally, ensuring high customer satisfaction
Maintain accurate records in ERP and CRM systems
Contribute positively to the team culture and support continuous improvement of processes
2–3+ years of experience in industrial sales, technical B2B sales, or sales administration
Confident and comfortable picking up the phone — you enjoy customer conversations and are not hesitant to make outbound calls
A reliable, enthusiastic professional who brings a strong work ethic and positive energy to the team
Well‑organised, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
A true team player who values collaboration and understands the importance of teamwork
Commercially minded, with a proactive rather than reactive approach to sales
Comfortable using ERP systems, MS Office, and digital tools
Experience with industrial products, technical solutions, or wholesale environments is highly desirable
