In this role, you will be a key part of the commercial team at Northern Monk, sitting at the heart of our sales and customer experience!
You’ll be the first point of contact for inbound sales and customer enquiries, providing warm, professional and efficient support across phone, email and sales portals, while ensuring every interaction reflects our brand, values and ethos. Working closely with the wider sales teams, warehouse and finance teams, you’ll support order processing across our direct sales channels, wholesale, Refectory and Export, manage administrative systems, organise logistics and help maintain excellent customer relationships through thoughtful touches like sample orders and care packages.
This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on role for someone who thrives on organisation, collaboration and delivering consistently delightful service while helping us achieve something incredible together.
- To manage inbound phone calls from the sales phone line and where required follow up calls to always provide superior customer service.
- To maintain a high level of professionalism in all correspondence relating to our customers and Northern Monk.
- To support the management of the customer services inboxes across the business alongside the general sales enquiry inbox, as well as responsibility of your personal email.
- Sales order processing and support for our direct sales channels through mailers, email and liaising with the field team.
- Management of various sales portals such as Sellar
- Helping Monk maintain excellent relationships by putting together sample orders and care packages with attention to detail for key customers when required.
- Liaising with warehouse team to support sales orders, dray routes and stock management.
- Liaising with finance team to ensure order processing, invoices and credits are input correctly.
- Organising couriers for international and domestic packages when required and parcel booking for UK orders. POS Orders / Samples shipments and admin processing.
- General administrative duties to keep our brewery software up to date.
- Export & logistical administrative support when required.
- Staying on top of internal logging systems.
- Maintaining master availability sheets for field, office and direct customers.
- Following up new leads from inboxes, selling platforms and lapsed customers.
- Be comfortable representing the values and ethos of the company.

- Provide consistent and accurate updates within the sales team regarding all areas of work.
