Business Development Manager – Leeds (Hybrid: 2–4 days per month in office)
Up to £60k basic + £100k OTE - uncapped
Our client is a fast‑growing UK cloud technology provider delivering market‑leading cloud hosting, disaster recovery, backup, and data protection solutions. As they enter an exciting phase of expansion, they’re looking for a highly experienced Business Development Manager to drive 100% new business growth within the SME market.
The RoleThis is a senior commercial role focused purely on new logo acquisition and winning high‑value customers (typically organisations with 100–250 employees).
Responsibilities- Define and deliver the business development strategy to hit revenue and market expansion targets
- Lead by example in driving new business across cloud hosting, DR, backup, and data protection
- Work closely with marketing to align campaigns, GTM activity, and positioning
- Represent the brand at industry events, conferences, and key networking opportunities
- Convert a mix of self‑sourced opportunities + leads passed through from the SDR team
- Navigate varied enterprise‑level sales cycles (typically 30 days to 6 months depending on product line)
You’re a high‑performing B2B technology sales professional with:
- 5–6+ years of experience selling cloud, managed services, hosting, infrastructure, DR, or cyber solutions
- A direct sales background (not reseller/channel)
- A strong track record of acquiring new customers and closing high‑value deals
- Experience working with complex sales cycles ranging from 30 days to 6 months
- Commercial resilience and the ability to build relationships at senior stakeholder level
- A strategic mindset combined with a hands‑on, results‑driven approach
Backgrounds that typically align well include MSPs, cloud hosting providers, managed cloud platforms, DRaaS/backup providers, and enterprise technology solutions.
