Junior Teaching Chef – The Jamie Oliver Cookery School

In May of this year, we launched our flagship cookery school – our second site – with John Lewis & Partners, in their Oxford Street store! As such, our team is expanding and we’re looking to grow our Teaching Chef team.

Junior Teaching Chefs support the Teaching Chef team in the delivery of our exciting and inspiring experiences. They assist in all aspects of the running of our vibrant school, from prep, to hosting our guests, to teaching our classes.

Why We Need You

You’re here to support our team in running excellent cookery classes, and help drive us to be the UK’s best cookery school. You’ll assist the Teaching Chefs throughout the day to day running of the school. Key duties will be food preparation, class set up, class assistance, clearing down and general support.

Your love of food and passion for people will ensure every guest has an excellent experience with us. Your drive and hunger will ensure shifts are run professionally and efficiently. Performing this role excellently will serve as the perfect training and preparation to fulfil your ambition – becoming a fully fledged Teaching Chef.

What Are We Looking For

You don’t necessarily need a background in hospitality or cheffing!

We’re looking for ambitious, food‑obsessed candidates to join our team. You’ll be a confident cook, and even more confident around people. You’ll be a solid communicator, and a natural talking about food. You’ll be tenacious, positive, and share our love of teaching and experiences.

If the above sounds like you, you could be our perfect candidate. We’ll train you on everything you need to support the running of our school and our classes. And together, we’ll plan how you develop into a Teaching Chef at our school.
