Relief Chef Manager

Overview

This is a mobile position and will require a full valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

• Cook from our amazing menu from scratch.
• Manage a full kitchen team and order produce.
• Be responsible for health and safety.
• Be financially accountable for the unit attaining its GP/COGs.
• Maintain a high level of food safety and hygiene compliance; head up the team to ensure service runs smoothly and due diligence is adhered to.
• Demonstrate proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate staff.
• Exhibit technical cooking skills.
• Work in challenging environments while maintaining high standards.
• Show organisational and administrative skills.
• Hold food hygiene and food preparation qualifications.
• Have prior work history as a chef/chef manager in contract catering (advantageous).

We're looking for an experienced Chef Manager with great cooking and people‑management skills, used to cooking using fresh seasonal ingredients at volume, managing your kitchen and liaising directly with onsite clients.

Working days:
Monday to Friday; shifts & working hours: 8 am–2 pm (30 hours per week, some flexibility required). Working weeks: 39 weeks per year (term time plus inset days). Pay: £18,705 per year.
