Immunisation Nurse (Phlebotomy)

Leeds, Yorkshire (LS2)
£30 per hour (Umbrella) – Depending on Experience
4–6 Month Contract | 2–3 Days Per Week

OH Medical is currently recruiting for an Immunisation Nurse with phlebotomy experience to join an established occupational health service in Leeds (LS2 9JT
) on a 4–6 month contract.

This role is ideal for a nurse experienced in workplace or travel immunisations who is confident delivering vaccination programmes and undertaking blood tests for immunity screening.

The Role

As an Immunisation Nurse, you will support the delivery of workplace vaccination programmes and immunity testing, ensuring services are delivered safely and in line with clinical guidance.

You will work 2–3 days per week across the contract period, supporting a busy immunisation programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver workplace immunisation programmes
  • Administer vaccines including:
    • Hepatitis B
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella)
    • Varicella
  • Undertake phlebotomy to collect blood samples for:
    • Hepatitis B titres
    • MMR antibodies
    • Varicella antibodies
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and vaccination records
  • Ensure vaccines are stored and handled in line with cold chain guidance
  • Monitor patients post-vaccination and manage any adverse reactions in line with clinical protocols
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Experience delivering vaccinations/immunisations
  • Competent in phlebotomy
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
Required Certifications
  • Enhanced DBS (on update Service or willing to get one)
  • Vaccination and Immunisation training
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Anaphylaxis training
