Job Summary

The Endoscopy unit at St Heliers has 4 scope rooms, a manometry room and use of a further room in X-ray. We have a continually expanding service with a very dedicated, well supported and dynamic team. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced endoscopy nurse to use not only their clinical skills but also their management skills to take charge of our busy ERCP lists.

They will also be expected to take charge of the daily running of one of our recovery areas. In addition they will also be expected to be part of our POA (pre‑op assessments) team and our TAC (Telephone assessment) team.

• Be in charge of ERCP lists

• Must be registered nurse
• Mentorship or teaching or assessing qualification
• Endo 1 and 2
• ERCP courses
• Extensive endoscopy experience
• Good general nursing background in surgery, theatres or medicine
• Extensive ERCP experience
• Good understanding of clinical governance
• Good planning and organisational skills
• Developed leadership skills
• Able to perform manometry and capsule endoscopy
• Managerial experience in appraisal or performance management

• BSc in relevant subject
• PEG insertion course
• Qualification in pre‑op assessment
• Management qualification

• Experience in peg insertion
• Experience in manometry, capsule or colon capsule
