TIG Pipewelder

2 × TIG Pipe welders are required for a specialist pipework and fabrications firm that is expanding its operations with a new site and workshop opening in 2026. The role works Monday to Thursday – enjoy a long weekend off, paid breaks, and free parking. A permanent contract is available after successful completion of a 26‑week temporary (probationary) period.

Pay: OTE £54,440.10 (basic salary £46,191.60). Hourly rate £21.15 PAYE for a standard 42‑hour week, plus 1.5× overtime every Friday (average 5 hours). All overtime is paid.

Location: Morley, Leeds, Beeston – commutable from Shipley, Otley, Bradford, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Halifax and local train stations.

Status: Permanent after successful completion of the 26‑week temporary period.

• Weld to X‑ray standard on both stainless and carbon steel (mild) materials.
• Read drawings, cut and fabricate pipe spools, unsupervised.
• Majority of welding is TIG & MAG welding.
• Weld test at interview stage: TIG stainless steel 54‑89 mm diameter, wall thickness 2‑5.49 mm and a MAG carbon steel 114 mm diameter, wall thickness 4.54 mm.
• Must be able to weld at position PA/PB.
• May be required to work onsite on occasions; strong mechanical assembly & fitting skills required.
• Fabricate pipes, flanges, plant rooms, skids to high specification onto pipe spools.
• Perform all other general fab shop duties expected across the shift.

• Skilled and have a proven 2+ years of fabrication and pipe welding experience with stainless steel and mild steels.
• Or have necessary qualifications & experience in MIG/TIG welding within a similar engineering environment.
• Driving licence is ideal due to site location outside Leeds and potential wagon driving on the job.
