We are looking to recruit Assembly Staff on a 12‑month Fixed Term Contract.
Your mission in CMbEThe successful candidates will be responsible for assembling and testing machinery and can‑making equipment using engineering drawings, machine build books, and SOPs to produce quality work to the required standard.
About youThe successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within the Assembly and testing of Original Equipment Manufacturer machinery and hold at least a level 3 apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. The ideal candidate will possess good knowledge of Assembly Engineering activities, including fitting and testing, and a good understanding of Basic Lean Principles. Strong hand skills to assemble and test can‑making equipment to meet customer requirements are required.
The candidate must have experience participating in non‑conformance investigations, documenting relevant data, ensuring compliance with stock control procedures, and actively contributing to cost‑saving initiatives while providing constructive feedback to the improvement team. They must be able to prioritise workload whilst remaining calm under pressure and have strong problem‑solving, mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to work autonomously. Demonstrated high quality of work, adaptability, sound judgement, and initiative are essential.

The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting in the assembly of machinery and equipment with the use of engineering drawings, machine build books, and SOPs to produce quality work to the required standard.
About you
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of assembly fitting. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent attention to detail, good hand skills for noncomplex tasks, and the ability to build sub‑assemblies using standard SOPs and fixtures. Experience with fitting exterior equipment such as nameplates, labels, guard switches, and auxiliary pumps, and completing shift documentation during component assembly, is required.
The candidate should have a history of participating in non‑conformance investigations, documenting relevant data, prioritising workload under pressure, and demonstrating strong problem‑solving, mechanical, and technical skills, as well as autonomy and initiative.
