At Sulzer Leeds, we design and manufacture some of the largest and most complex engineered pump packages worldwide, serving key industries such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Renewable Energy. We’re seeking a Category Buyer to lead procurement excellence across our specialised, high‑value supply chain.

• Lead procurement from the initial order placement through to final delivery, ensuring everything stays within budget and project timescales.
• Negotiate purchasing terms, including staged payments and cash flow optimisation, while maintaining market competitiveness through regular benchmarking.
• Manage and develop supplier relationships, conducting regular performance reviews and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

• Proven background in a related manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Experience with SAP is essential for maintaining delivery data and delegated authority tasks.
• Influencing and persuasion skills, with the ability to communicate risks effectively across the business.
• CIPS qualification is preferred, though not essential.
• A strong teamwork ethic, attention to detail, and the flexibility to travel to supplier sites as required.
