Commercial Finance Director

We are partnering with a high-growth business in the healthcare sector to appoint a commercially minded Finance Director who will act as a genuine right-hand to the CEO. The business is at a pivotal stage of development, with significant opportunity to shape structure, strategy, and long-term growth.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of finance while also leading across commercial performance. This is a broad, hands‑on leadership role in an entrepreneurial, evolving organisation.

• Preparing financial objectives, managing budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.
• Providing insightful financial and operational analysis.
• Driving commercial performance across sales and margin
• Managing performance and elevating capability across the team
• Acting as a trusted adviser and constructive challenger to the CEO

We’re seeking a commercially astute Finance Director who combines strong technical foundations with real operational breadth.

• Proven experience operating as a Finance Director, CFO, or in a senior commercial finance leadership role
• Demonstrable commercial capability - not just reporting, but influencing revenue, margin, and strategic direction
• Experience working in SME, scale‑up, or founder‑led environments
• Exposure to finance transformation
• The confidence and credibility to operate with highly capable senior stakeholders

Sector experience is not essential. Commercial instinct, pragmatism, and adaptability are.

You will need both gravitas and flexibility: someone who can influence at board level while also rolling up sleeves to improve processes and performance.
