Infrastructure Project Manager

£49,359 per annum (Pay award pending) - Grade 9

Leeds / Hybrid Full time / Permanent - 37 hours per week

We currently have a vacancy for an Infrastructure Project Manager to join our Transport Infrastructure (Development & Construction) team.

As an Infrastructure Project Manager within the team, you will lead the delivery of major transformational infrastructure schemes that shape the future of transport across our region. You will take ownership of complex, high-profile projects, driving them from concept through to delivery while operating at the heart of strategic initiatives that support economic growth and enhance regional connectivity.

Working closely with local authorities, government bodies, and a wide range of delivery partners, as Infrastructure Project Manager you will ensure that each project aligns with both regional priorities and national ambitions. This includes playing a key role in promoting innovation, championing best practice, and ensuring that our infrastructure programmes set a benchmark for quality and impact.

The Role

Reporting into the Senior Project Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

* Manage the delivery of specific transport infrastructure projects building mutual respect and trust with all stakeholders, including internal and external colleagues, delivery partners, landowners and political Members.

* Manage the development of business cases, undertaking specific technical work and managing work within agreed tolerances.

* Budgetary planning, forecasting, reporting, and financial control. Also updating project documentation such as finance tables, trackers, risk registers.

About You

You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:

* Relevant Professional Qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, RICS, ICE, IHT, APM, CIOB) or equivalent practical experience of project management.

* Experience of prioritising, planning and organising workloads to manage expectations and deadlines.

* Experience of working in partnership with stakeholders including political members, suppliers, public and private organisations and residents.

* Proven experience of confidently and professionally conveying information both written and oral in a clear, concise and persuasive style.

* Track record in procurement and contract management of delivery partners to complete design and construction activities.
